To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. -Colossians 1:27
We believe that real life is found in context to the beauty of the Gospel
We believe that the beauty of the Gospel begins
with the sovereign grace of the triune God
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ…In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of
sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace… When you believed, you were
marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit. -Ephesians 1:3-14
We believe that all Scripture is God’s Word and
is useful for the equipping of God’s people for his Glory and the advancement
of the Gospel
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
-1 Timothy 3:16-17
We believe that Scripture teaches that we are
all sinners in the sight of God, justly deserving His displeasure, and without
hope, except through His sovereign mercy.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. -Romans 3:23
We believe that faith in Jesus Christ is a saving grace whereby we receive and rest in Him alone for Salvation as He is offered to us in the Gospel.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
-Ephesians 2:8-9
We believe that sanctification is the work of
God's free grace by which our whole person is made new in the image of God, and
we are made more and more able to become ‘dead’ to sin and alive to
righteousness.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ
Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. -Ephesians 2:10
We believe that we are called to bear reliable
witness to the beauty of the Gospel in all things to all people.
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though
God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be
reconciled to God. -2 Corinthians 5:20
We believe that our love for each other and others
flows out of God’s love for us.
We love because he first loved us. -1 John 4:19
We believe that our church exists to proclaim
God’s faithfulness and to share the beauty of the Gospel with the world.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority
in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And
surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” -Matthew 28:18-20
And so we believe that the beauty of the Gospel
enables us to live well with hope, joy, peace, love and purpose in a fallen
world.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
-2 Corinthians 4:16-18
